Lake Norman Little League offers recreational softball divisions of play for girls, league ages 6-16. The age determination date for a Little League Softball player is the actual age of a child on December 31 of the previous year. League age ranges are typical for these programs to keep participants playing age appropriate ball. Age ranges often overlap, allowing players who need a little more time to develop to play down in a division, or play up in a division if they are ready to advance and if approved by the league board. All softball players are required to attend a skills evaluation, after which a final determination is made in regards to division placement. Teams are drafted in an attempt to create balance across each division of play.

Age ranges often overlap, allowing players who need a little more time to develop to play down in a division, or play up in a division if they are ready to advance and if approved by the league board. All baseball players above Tee Ball are required to attend a skills evaluation, after which a final determination is made in regards to division placement. Teams are drafted in an attempt to create balance across each division of play.

The Lake Norman Babe Ruth League 18U Baseball Division is for players who have aged out of the Senior League division of play and completed their Little League career. This division offers an advanced, competitive brand of play with teams competing in a district-wide game schedule with some travel to district opponent sites required.
