League Objective

The objective of Lake Norman Little League is to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.  To achieve this objective, the league charters with Little League®, asserting the league's agreement to adhere to the Rules, Regulations, and Policies of Little League®.

League Constitution

Lake Norman Little League’s Constitution is our league's governing document.  The Constitution covers membership, election, discipline, finances, etc.  The adopted constitution remains in force until it is amended.

As outlined in the Constitution, the management of the property and affairs of Lake Norman Little League is vested in the Board of Directors. Membership on the board is based on a rotating three-year cycle. The full term of a director is three years. For consistency and continuity, approximately one-third of the director terms expire each year, subject to such directors being re-elected. No director shall serve on the board for more than three consecutive terms. Each officer must be confirmed each year in the three-year term of office. All elections of directors is by majority vote of regular members.

League Bylaws

The Bylaws of Lake Norman Little League establish General League Policies by which all participants can have a structured, enjoyable experience.  Bylaws are NOT meant to replace, or override any Little League International regulations, rules, or policies.  They are created by the league’s Board of Directors in accordance with the League Constitution.  These Bylaws cover the following topics:

  • General League Policies
  • Divisions of Play
  • Team Manager Selections
  • Player Assessments
  • Rostering of Players
  • Local Rules, including division-specific rules
  • All-Stars
  • League Sponsors
